Javascript Programmer – Is It Your Perfect Career?

JavaScript is a development of the Java programming language. Small Java programs called scripts can be incorporated within the HTML of a web page to allow even Joe Soaps homepage to exhibit dynamic effects that Joe would never have dreamed of 10 years ago.

There are thousands of Java Scripts freely available for downloading. These range from Drop Down menus to Snow Effects, from Mouse-over Effects to Digital Real-Time Clocks.

Java Scripts are useful for introducing limited animation to your web pages without the download times associated with Macromedia Flash animations. Your page tracking and Google Adsense tracking also use Java Scripts.

People see JavaScript programming as a new and highly paid career. Universities supply the courses because the demand is there and its a good way for the university to make money. As these qualified programmers come onto the jobs market, the number of programmers is going to exceed the number of vacancies and salaries will fall.

When companies can outsource their programming needs to low cost countries like India and China, they are unlikely to want very many highly paid programmers on their rolls.

If you do learn JavaScript you can earn money on one of the freelancing sites, by bidding on various projects. Be aware that you will not be able to compete on price with programmers from India or China, so compete on quality and completion times. The reputation you establish early on will stay with you for a long time, so make sure it is an impeccable one.

The latest version of Microsofts Windows XP operating system blocks JavaScript by default, because this is seen as a possible source of security breaches. Most users have no idea how to allow JavaScript to run on the web pages they view.

JavaScript does have some disadvantages. It works differently on different browsers and it increases the download time of your pages.

Against these disadvantages are its advantages. There are sites where you can download scripts for free and many sites where you can learn at least the rudiments of JavaScript programming without paying a cent.

Is Being Attractive a Career Asset or Liability?

I dont recall exactly how many girls turned me down when I asked them to the senior prom, but there were a few. Even though that was 25 years ago, I still remember how much I wished I was one of the beautiful people. Today, Im glad I wasnt. When I finally made it to the major leagues of my industry, two things immediately struck me.

The first was how accepting everyone was. People were amazingly supportive and oddly non-competitive. I later realized this came from their sense of security and accomplishment, since successful people dont feel threatened by others who succeed. The second thing was that most of the powerful and famous people I met looked like ordinary average individuals, even though some of them get more for a one hour speech than many people pay for a house. This made me wonder how much ones looks really impacts career success.

Being attractive can certainly help in the short term. Television news magazines such as 2020 have conducted tests which confirm that society gives special consideration to attractive people. However, being so attractive that one draws excessive attention to him or herself can impede long term career success. Beauty can become the temporary crutch that some people try to keep leaning on long after it has been taken away. While attractive people can skate by on looks for a while, eventually beauty fades. They may then struggle when its gone and they can no longer charm people with their million pound smile. Meanwhile, their average looking counterparts start to excel in their careers because their greatest assets their job skills are increasing.

This success principle of what matters most is whats on the inside isnt limited to work. It also applies to personal relationships. While the newest glamour couple here in my hometown of Nashville is the equally attractive Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, not every pretty woman goes for the handsome leading man look. Just look at Lyle Lovett, who married Julia Roberts in 1993, and Billy Bob Thornton, who married Angelina Jolie in 2000. Both Thornton and Lovett readily admit they dont have Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise looks. The one thing they needed to get these beautiful women to say yes was the same thing that made their careers so successful confidence.

So whats the moral of this story? If you happen to be an ordinary average looking individual whos competing against a job applicant or coworker who has drop dead gorgeous looks, dont assume they have an advantage. It could turn out that looking average helps you become more than average in your career.

Let’s divide the answer into two parts: travel and nursing. We’ll tackle the latter first. To be able to pursue a career in travel nursing, you must of course be equipped with a creditable nursing degree. Now some may possess one-year-diplomas and call themselves professionals but unfortunately for them, not all hospital or healthcare employers accept that as enough credentials. The second half of a Travel Nursing career is the traveling. So you’re the proud holder of a nursing degree and you’re duly licensed to practice nursing. The next step to tackle then is learning how to go about your travels. Most people prefer to seek recruitment agencies for help in this matter. There are several recruitment agencies that may just be a scam to whisk your money away. And remember, using their services means paying some fees and if in some instances the fees are high so be careful and be wary. Ask questions and don’t go with any agency that you don’t feel is being 100% honest with you and if there fees are out of line then find another agency or you can always go it alone.

A few things to consider when traveling are the need of a passport. First, check with the embassy in your country of choice and see if they require a visa. Second, make sure that all your nursing documents, proof that you have graduated from a reputable school and have passed the necessary examinations, are all duly authenticated. Home Careers

If you are looking for a way out of the rat race, you are not alone. Millions of Americans are unhappy with their jobs, and wish to become financially independent. A home career is the best way to achieve this. In our fast paced world of today, many people are forced to work long hours at their jobs, and have little time to spend with their families. This has led to a society where many family relationships are under strain, and studies show that the US has one of the highest divorce rates of any country in the world. Having a home career will allow you to spend more time with those you love.

In addition to this, many people are tired of working hard for corporations that are becoming wealty off their efforts. While they become wealthier, your own well being is sacrificed in the process. Many employers today fail to reward their employees for their hard work, and many employees become resentful. They may even begin to hate their jobs, and will dread going to work each day. If this situation describes you, it sounds as if you are a person who wants to become independent. While there may be risks involved with pursuing a home career, the rewards are well worth it. First, there is no limit to the money that you can earn at home. Your income will be determined by your skill, not by the raises that you will be given by your employer.

The second advantage of having a home career is that you pick your own hours. If you need to reserve a day to be with your family, there won’t be a need to get the permission of your boss. You will have the power to pick the hours you want to work. While having a home career will give you power, this power will not come without responsibility. People who procrastinate are unlikely to succeed. When you have something that needs to be done, you must not let anything stand in your way. If you are thinking of starting a home based business, the first thing you will want to think about is the field you will work in.

Picking the right career is important. While it should be something that excites you, it should also be something that has a high income potential. What are you good at? Most people are either good at technical subjects like math, or they are good at subjects like writing or art. There are a few people that can use both sides of their brain effectively. You must first decide where your skill level lies. If you are a mathematically oriented person who enjoys dealing with numbers, why not become a freelance programmer? Even if you don’t know any programming languages, you can do research to find out what programming languages are in demand. After you’ve done this, you can take a class at your local community college.

If you are looking to start a home career, one tool that you will not want to be without is a computer and the internet. The internet is the best friend of those who wish to start home careers. The internet can allow you to get the tools and resources you need to start your business, and you can network with people all over the world for a very low price. There is no limit to the number of things you can do with a home based business, and the benefits are well worth it.
